Ivy League colleges favor students whose parents are alumni

posted on: March 14, 2022

The eight Ivy League colleges of the USA have given the world some remarkable talents in the field of Science, Politics, Business, Humanities and many more fields. Getting into Ivy League colleges is a hard thing because the colleges not only look into your academic report but also choose students whose parents are also Ivy League alumni. It is an accepted fact that these students are given an advantage during the short-listing process. This process has been receiving backlash for a long time as the other students feel discriminated against. It is alleged that this is a way of making ‘rich richer because most of the seats are given to kids coming from privileged backgrounds. Even if a student is more academically proficient or has more other achievements, he/she will still not be the first preference.
