Wealthy families from China are now sending their children to expensive Japanese schools to get western education. The importance of western education among Chinese people has become very rampant as they think it promotes individual perspective growth. Due to this, all the families in China who can afford western education are sending their children to Japan. After the pandemic, the education system in China has totally crashed, whereas in Japan the restrictions are much lighter and the education system is way more stable. According to data Total tuition fees from international schools in Japan are about to reach $979 million this year — a 27.8% increase from the $766 million collected in 2017. Studying at these schools can be extremely expensive and the fees can be as high as $63,000.
