Last year in September, Jharkhand sent its first group of ST students abroad to pursue higher education. This year the government has decided to expand the program by including SC, OBC and other minorities as well. The notice was issued on June 4th and 25 of maximum students will be selected under the program. The scholarship called Chevening-Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda Scholarship will be started from September, 2023. A three year memorandum will be signed between the United Kingdom through the Foreign & Commonwealth Development Office and the British High Commission in New Delhi. Students will have the opportunity to study one year master's degree or two year MPhil degree with a choice of around 31 disciplines. Deadline for application submission is June 25th.
