posted on: January 05, 2024

The most conspicuous change that has been made is the inability of dependents to accompany the principal visa holders. The United Kingdom is battling with the problem of over immigration. By limiting the number of dependents who will come to the UK every year, the country is expecting to receive 1,40,000 less individuals annually. Students pursuing only research degrees in the UK will be allowed to bring their dependents.

In recent years there has been a 930% increase in the number of dependent visas issued to people. This is the reason why there has been an increase in the rent prices and overall inflation. Job opportunities and accommodation options have become less and everything has become more expensive. These latest changes have received mixed responses from people. The salary threshold for the skilled visa category has also been increased.
