The Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada have recently announced revised rules related to Canadian students visas. Now students will be able to apply for post-graduate work permits till 31st August 2023. Students will also be to apply for online classes considering the post covid impacts. Although the Canadian government is encouraging students to travel to Canada as soon as possible for in-class study, at the same time they are offering transitioning time to students so that the immigration process is easier for them. If a student has submitted a study permit application before 31st August 2022 they will still be able to complete their whole education online without their grades being affected. If a student will start a program between 1st September 2022 to 31st August 2023, he or she will still be able to complete 50% of his/her education online. After 1st September 2023, the amount of time you will miss in class in terms of physical presence will be deducted from your grades. Regarding the backlog issues that the students have been facing, they said that the authorities are working and trying to issue visas on priority basis to students who need them urgently.
