New Zealand France and Germany to become the top study abroad destinations for Indian students

posted on: March 21, 2024

Current changes in immigration policies for the top study abroad destinations like the UK, Canada, and Australia has led to a massive decline in the interest of Indian students to study abroad. Canada has put a historic cap on international students and will only be accepting 2,90,000 international students in 2024. This will impact the number of student visas issued to Indian students massively. Countries like the UK and Australia have also released stringent immigration policies that have dramatically increased the visa rejection rate for Indian students. In this case, it is highly likely that countries like France, Germany, and New Zealand will become the top priority of Indian students in the coming years. One of the top reasons why Indian students are interested in studying in these countries is the fact that they have affordable tuition fees. The other reasons include affordable accommodation and availability of numerous part-time jobs.
