Number of students taking GRE in India has doubled up in the past few years

Currently, more than 1.14,00,00 students in India take the GRE every year. India is just 10,000 students behind the USA in terms of the number of students, opting for GRE annually. The biggest reason behind such a high number of students giving GRE is the fact that most of the students are shifting to foreign countries for their higher education. Study abroad has become a very popular tradition in the country. Especially after the pandemic, students have been going to foreign countries in abundance. Countries like the USA, Canada and the UK have received record-breaking international students from India in 2022. India has also overtaken China by becoming the largest contributor of international students in many study abroad destinations.
