The NEET UG 2024 exam has received over 25,00,00 registrations as of now. This is roughly 4,20,000 more registrations as compared to the previous year. There are a total 1,08,940 seats for candidates in medical colleges in India. Earlier students had the deadline to apply for the exam till 9th March, 2024. However, NTA decided to postpone the deadline for registration to 16th March, 2024. There are still a few days left for registration so it is highly likely that the number of registrations are going to increase even more. more than 55% of the applicants who have registered for the examination are female. The most number of candidates who have registered in the examination or from Uttar Pradesh. More than 3,23,000 students have registered from Uttar Pradesh followed by Maharashtra where 2,69,000 candidates have registered for the exam.
