Around 38 medical colleges in India have lost their recognition in the recent scrutiny conducted by the Apex medical regulatory body of the country. These colleges have lost their recognition for issues, including infrastructure, no attendance, absence of biometrics for staff, unsatisfactory labs, and many more. The National Medical Commission has said that these numbers will keep changing as more inspections will be conducted in the coming two months. The counselling for the NEET exam will likely start in July. Before the counselling, the National Medical Commission wants to make sure that all the colleges and universities related to the field are filtered.
