The Schengen Visa that was established back in 1995 allows paper free travel in the 23 European countries. For those planning to migrate to Europe for study or work purposes, getting a Schengen Visa is the best option. Now the European Council has decided to make the whole process of applying for Schengen Visa paperless. This means that you will no longer be required to visit the immigration department of Europe or a particular European country to get a visa. You can simply go on the official portal of the European Council to apply for a visa.
There you can submit your documents and fill in your personal details. Your application will be reviewed on the basis of your documents. If you are selected then you will be shortlisted for an interview round. The new process has been approved by the council, but it will take some time for it to be implemented. There is a lot of technical work that has to be done before making the portal live.
This process will simplify the paperwork for immigration and will most likely boost tourism and migration in Europe.
