Single board exam policy to be restored from next year in India

posted on: April 12, 2022

CBSE has decided to opt for its previous policy of conducting one board exam per session from the session 2022 to 2023 onwards. Previously CBSE had decided to conduct 2 board exams a year for classes 10th and 12th out of which one was to be held from November to December and the other from April to May. The decision was taken because in 2021 board exams had to be cancelled due to the pandemic and students were assessed based on internal assessment. But now CBSE officials have announced their decision to go back to the old ways citing that continuing this pattern was never their plan and it was just a trial for one year.
