The National Medical Council has recently removed the minimum percentile criteria to qualify the NEET exam. Due to this alteration, many students who have scored as low as five marks have been able to get into government medical colleges for PG programmes. All of this is attributed to certain quotas and reservations. From other parts of the country's many such instances have come forward where students have scored 15 and 20 marks and still have been able to get into MD programmes. Due to this new initiative, there have been a lot of recent problems. NMC will have to regularise the admission process.
