Due to the growing demand for substitutes, students in their final year will be getting temporary teaching licenses. Students with the license will be able to work as substitute teachers and get paid for their working days. This way the need for substitute teachers can be cured along with giving experience and monetary benefits to students. The five universities in Nova Scotia that offer this opportunity are Cape Breton University, Mount Saint Vincent University, Acadia University and University Sainte-Anne. A total of 282 provincial students are eligible for this.
