China has finally opened the borders after almost 3 years of restrictions. As a result, the study abroad demand from China is rising rapidly. Students from China are interested in going to foreign countries to pursue their higher education. As per search engine reports, there has been an 81% rise in the number of searches for international universities in Canada from different domains of China. There has been a 138% rise in the number of searches for universities in the UK. There is also a noted 158% increase in the number of searches for universities in Australia. But, there has been a consistent decline in the search rate for the universities in the USA.
This data signifies the Chinese students are interested in going to other countries and not the USA which used to be one of the favourite destinations of Chinese students before the pandemic. Earlier, China also issued a notice stating the resumption of off-line mode of education. This means that all those students who had taken admission in various universities abroad will now have to go to those universities to attend their classes offline. China will no longer allow online mode of education and will not accept degrees that have been pursued online.
