Studying abroad easy but getting a job not that easy for international students

posted on: February 16, 2023

In 2022, around 770,000 students from India went to study abroad. This is the highest number in the last six years and has broken all that in the records. Most of the students choose to study in STEM programmes. It is believed that these programmes are more effective in getting a job as compared to other programs. But it has been found that not a lot of students are able to secure a job after completing their education abroad. As a result, they have to come back to their countries and I have to join low-paying jobs back home.

The percentage of return on international education is not very high at this point of time. The global economy is going through a recession period right now. Many people are losing their jobs, especially in multinational companies. This is one of the factors that is going to affect the international job scenario in the coming years.
