Last year over 45,600 students from India were able to secure graduate visas accounting for 40% of the total issued graduate visas. This year a lot of students were skeptical about the graduate visa route because the Rishi Sunak government proposed the plan to discontinue the graduate visa route which allowed students to stay back in the UK after completing their education. The introduction of this plan could be a major setback for international students who would want to settle in the UK. However, this proposed bill was condemned by the opposition of the cabinet, which is why the Rishi Sena government had to take it back. As of now the government has given a green signal to all international students about the continuation of the graduate visa. So students who were worried about the same can now apply for their student visas.
