The University of California sees a surge in Latinx applicants

The University of California has witnessed a hike in the percentage of Latinx and Chicano applicants. The percentage of Latinx applicants has gone to 38 per cent which is 4.1 per cent higher than the last year. The University of California has seen an increase in applicants from other ethnic backgrounds as well. This can be attributed to the suspension of SATs and ACTs as a requisite. It is great for universities to have diverse student population. Keeping this in mind, the University of California has also show appropriate response to increasing diverse applicants.
