The US Embassy has announced new changes in the F, M and J student visas that will be implemented from 27th November, 2023. students who choose to study in the US, apply under F, M, and J student visas. The US embassy announced via X (formerly known as twitter ) that students will now have to register their own passport details while scheduling a Visa interview for themselves. This is a step that has been taken to avoid any fraud or abuse towards the system. any applicant who has registered for a Visa interview without using their own passport details will not be accepted by their Visa Application Centres.
Students applying for F and M visa must make sure that the program they want to study is registered by the Student Exchange and Visitor Program. Those applying for J student Visa must get their sponsorship from an organisation that is approved by the Department of State.
