The US Secretary of State is offering interview waivers to some selected students and workers who want to immigrate to the US. The Department of State had previously said that the government understands the importance of contribution of students and international immigrants towards the economy. This is the reason why a lot of initiatives are welcomed by the government now and then to reduce wait times and make the whole visa process seamless.
Under the latest initiative, some specific visa categories of work visa and student are exempted from giving in-person interviews. Students can check these particular categories on the official website of the US government. It is important to note that it is only applicable for people who are getting their visa renewed in the same category within 48 months of the previous visa expiration
