In 2023, the US embassy in India processed more than 1.4 million visas. In 2024, the US embassy is expecting to process even more visas as compared to the previous year. The wait time for Indian students to get the visa has decreased by 75% already. The US is aiming to decrease this with time even further. Currently one in every four international students that is studying in the US is from India. This goes on to say that the contribution of Indian students studying in the US is pretty significant. By putting efforts to minimise the visa waiting time, the US is not only going to benefit the students but also make a lot of economic profit. Most international students choose to study in countries that give great immigration facilities to them. By becoming the top education provider in the world, the US is going to give a tough competition to the other countries and attract the maximum dispora of international students from India.
