The new Australia-India agreement is meant to accelerate the economic relations of both the countries in areas ranging from critical minerals, professional services, education and tourism as said by the Australian Minister for Trade Tourism and Investment. In the 31 sectors and sub-sectors, both higher and adult education are included. According to the agreement, all these sectors and sub-sectors will be assured to receive the best treatment accorded by India. Australia will not only be providing more job opportunities but also will be extending the stay of Indian students receiving first-class bachelor's degrees from Australia from two to three years. This way they will be strengthening their STEM and IT sector. The Al ECTA will look after the licensing, registration and recognition of professional degrees. The agreement is substantial for both countries.
