The Department for Education (dfe) has taken a decision to cancel any kind of degrees that result in higher unemployment or dropout rates. Not only this, the government of the UK has announced to pay special attention towards courses that lead to skill development and higher employment rates. There will also be a reduction in the maximum amount of fee that universities can charge for a foundation year course. This will be reduced from the current £9,250 to £5,760. Foundation courses will be discontinued for business degrees and will help in saving the time for students. New T level courses will be introduced that will only focus on vocational training.
The government will give more emphasis on higher technical qualifications. The government will look forward to providing more internship opportunities to students for better industry experience. All of these strategies will actually benefit Indian students quite a lot. Not only is the government planning to change the education system of the country for good, it is also paying a lot of attention towards its international students.
