This year, the University grants commission has released a list of 46 new courses that will be taught across five different units each of which will be spread for 60 hours. UGC has also given universities the liberty to teach these courses in hybrid mode. UGC has advised universities to start teaching courses based on Indian culture and heritage that can attract foreign students. Adding subjects related to Indian architecture, religion and philosophy can open a whole new branch of education. These courses will be short-term credit based courses meant for vocational studies. These courses will be offered at three levels, which includes beginners, intermediary and advanced.
