As per the latest decision by the UGC, students will no longer be given any normalisation of marks for CUET and UGC NET. Previously, a lot of students were given normalisation in their scores which led to a significant hike in their marks. This was done to compensate for the non-uniformity in the difficulty level of the question papers attempted by students. In some shifts, the question papers were extremely easy as compared to the others where the question papers were significantly tougher. However, it was decided that this is going to negatively impact the overall results and the performance of students. UGC has now decided to not offer any kind of normalisation as the institute will be conducting all the entrance exams under its radar in a single shift. This will not lead to any variation in the question paper as everyone will be attempting a common question paper only.
