The United Kingdom has recently made some changes in its visa policies for construction workers, including bricklayers, masons, roofers, roof tilers, slaters, carpenters, joiners and plasterers. All these people will get access to cheaper visas and easy employment. All of these professionals have been added to the official shortage occupation list of the UK. As there is a shortage of this work force in the UK, the government has decided to attract the workforce from different countries. In the past also, Britain has suffered from acute labour shortage in various departments. Now construction is another area where Britain is facing shortage of labour.
