Universities from the UK witness a 4 percent drop in the application received from Indian students

posted on: February 28, 2024

Due to the changing immigration policies, it is safe to say that Indian students have been losing interest in a lot of top study abroad destinations. One such study abroad destination is the UK. Recently, the government of the UK has introduced a lot of new policies pertaining to international students. Most of these have not been in the favour of international students and rather focus towards improving the economic condition of the UK. As a result, the universities of the UK have seen a significant drop of 4% in the number of applications received from Indian students from 2024 onwards. Both India and Nigeria have shown a downward trend in terms of the application received by the universities of the UK. The decline can be directly linked to the recent policies announced by the Rishi Sunak government.
