The University of Cambridge has launched a scholarship for Indian students. Indian students will receive a fellowship to study the history of Indian indentured labour at the University of Cambridge. Indentured labour was a very controversial system of labour introduced by the Britishers in India. The study will allow Indian students to look into what the people had to go through at that time and atrocities faced by them.
The program will allow the selected student to spend eight weeks at the university. This programme will run for five years initially and new students will get an opportunity through this time.
