United States of America dominates the 2022 QS World Rankings in Subjects with 239, followed by the United Kingdom with 131, Switzerland (31), Singapore (23), Canada (19), Netherlands (15), Australia (13), Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR) (7), France and Italy (6 each) and China (mainland) with 4. The rankings were released on the 6th of April and were the 12th edition of the list. The rankings compare 1543 universities offering 15200 individual programs across 88 different locations. The most represented universities were from the United States of America followed by the United Kingdom, then China and then Australia. Canada's University of Toronto is the university with the largest number of top 50 programs. Harvard and Massachusetts Institute of Technology were the top performers offering 12 of the world's best departments each. In Europe ETH Zurich was the top continental performer.
