According to the 2022 Times Higher Education Rankings The University of Texas at Arlington has been ranked number 8th in an international measure for sustainability. These rankings are based on the assessment of the universities' efforts in complying with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals which are 17 goals covering different parameters such as education, human rights, public health, community development and economic growth. UTA improved 6 positions from last year. In total 42 US universities competed in the rankings and around 300 universities globally. According to the United Nations in order to have a successful partnership there need to be an inclusive partnership on a local, national and international level.
