Western Michigan University has launched a Global Engagement Program to offer more opportunities to students in skill development and how to make the best use of them. The programs will open new opportunities for K-12 students. The program was launched back in 2018. Students of the first batch completed their classes together and had abroad experiences throughout Portugal, Ireland and Lisbon. Although the pandemic impacted study plans of the program, some students despite all the setbacks continued till the final phase of the program. Students developed interactive Google classrooms and introduced a digital curriculum. Everyone prepared a slide for their home countries Egypt, Bahrain, Nigeria and the Dominican Republic.
