The United States of America offers various visas to international students for studying purposes. Today we will be talking about some of the most popular visas under which international students can study in the US.
F-1 Visa
F1 student Visa is one of the most popular student visas in the United States of America. Students are allowed to study in the US while working 20 hours per week. Off-campus jobs are prohibited under the F1 visa. Students coming to the US under this visa can further apply for a green card.
H-1 B Visa
This is not an immigrant visa. It is issued for a limited period of time under which an international student can pursue their education after which they will have to go back to their country. A student coming under this visa cannot apply for a green card.
EB-5 visa
This visa is also known as immigrant visa. This visa doesn't only allow the visa holder to migrate to the US and further apply for a green card but also makes the family members eligible to move to the US and apply for a green card. Although it is necessary to make an investment worth US$800,000 in the US economy to be eligible for this visa.
