If you are a student who is thinking of settling in Canada then it's inevitable that you will be experiencing a lot of nervousness. A lot of questions might be popping up in your hand. We're here to solve all your queries and give you a brief guide on how to settle in Canada and become a successful immigrant.

  • The first and foremost step is the selection of your university and the program that you want to study. Be very peculiar about this decision because this is going to be a very important part that will decide your future.
  • After you're done deciding which university and course you want to study, start collecting the documents that are necessary to file the college application like a Letter of acceptance, Proof of identity, Proof you have no criminal record, and proof of funds.
  • Once you have been accepted into your dream University, apply for a student Visa. The study permit application fee is $150 CAD and the biometric fee is $85 CAD or $170 CAD for a family (fees subject to change).
  • Now that everything is done you are ready to go and start a new life. Once you land in Canada, settle your accommodation first of all. After that, start looking for a part-time job that will allow you to work for 20 hours a week.
  • Start making friends and develop a social network. Communicate with as many international and native students as you can because this is going to help you once you're done with your graduation.
  • Once you're done with your graduation, you will be eligible for a?Post-Graduation Work Permit Program?(PGWP) that will allow you to stay in Canada and work. Check the eligibility for the same on the official website of the Canadian immigration department.
