What to do before applying to an Ivy League University?

Ivy League colleges are a group of eight highly prestigious colleges that include Brown University, Columbia University, Cornell University, Dartmouth College, Harvard University, the University of Pennsylvania, Princeton University, and Yale University. All of these are in the United States of America are considered as highly competitive universities to get into. Every year thousands of students apply to these universities from across the globe. If you are also one of the aspirant then here are some tips for you-

  • Start preparing early and by early we mean as early as from your ninth or tenth standard. Start building your potential Ivy League resume.
  • Pay attention to your academic performance. You don't have to be the top scorer in everything but make sure your grades are genuine and consistent.
  • Give SATs and other tests even though they may not be compulsory. It helps in comparison.
  • Have a passion other than academics and start working towards it. 
  • Do community work and volunteer at social help places.
  • Start writing your essay early on. Edit and omit consistently before you reach your final copy.
