Which Australian universities have restricted Indian students from these particular states ?

posted on: April 18, 2023

This year Australia is expecting to top its annual intake of international students in 2019 which was 75,000. This means that Australia's expecting to welcome around one lakh immigrants in the form of international students. At the same time the Australian immigration department has also implemented certain changes to avoid any kind of fraud applications. In the light of events, around five Australian universities have banned student applications from some particular Indian states.

This has been done because of the number of applications that are coming to work rather than to study. Most of the students are submitting fake documents which is wasting the time of administration. As a result, these universities have stopped accepting applications from Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.Victoria University, Edith Cowan University, the University of Wollongong, Torrens University, and agents working for Southern Cross University have reportedly stopped accepting applications from these Indian states.
