Why are Indian students facing problems in finding jobs after completing their education in foreign countries?

posted on: February 21, 2023

Studying abroad has a lot of advantages. Still you will find that many students return home after completing their education. This is because the students are not able to find jobs after completing their education. Lack of job placements and personal networks might lead to the situation. According to data, only 22% of the Indian students who went abroad between 2015 and 2019, were able to find decent jobs for themselves after returning home.

This means that these international students not only have a hard time finding jobs abroad but also after returning home. There is a lack of recognition and awareness among employers in the country regarding degrees in foreign universities. Employers generally prefer domestic degrees over international degrees because of more familiarity. Studying abroad is obviously a very liberating experience. But just like other experiences, it also has some limitations.
