Will international student loan borrowers come under the wiping ofs student debt?

posted on: June 24, 2022

The Biden government will be spending six billion dollars in wiping off the debts of student loan borrowers. This will include the debt cancellation of 200000 borrowers. The settlement will pay off the debts of students who studied in colleges or universities that are not even operating currently. Some of them are in-service like the University of Phoenix, Grand Canyon University and DeVry University, said the report. According to the US Federal Students Aid non citizens that are eligible for the debt cancellation are US nationals and natives of American Samoa or Swains Island, and those with a green card. Their grounds for asking debt cancellation remains exclusive to only either being misled, defrauded, or otherwise harmed by predatory colleges and universities.
