Under the new education policy, all the honors degrees will now be completed in four years. Students will be given a degree of B.A upon completing three years of education. If they complete four years they will be given an honors degree. They can also opt out of the course after completing two years with a diploma.
Earlier a student could complete an honors degree within three years only. Now with the revision of the curriculum, we have a similar system like that of the United States of America. A lot of countries around the world have the system of education in which the undergraduate degrees are completed in four years. This will help India in keeping their education policies on par with the most favored study abroad destinations of the world.
Indian students will now no longer have to appear for extra standard tests in order to get admission in famous universities of the USA and Canada. Migration will be a lot easier for Indian students and getting admission in the top universities of the world will become much easier.
