The United States of America will most likely go through a political shut down in the coming days. It is expected that the political shutdown will lead to some turmoil and service haults across the country. International students who are scheduled to travel to the US or have to apply for their US student visas are worried about their future. It is important to know that the US citizenship and visa services are funded by private stakeholders and not dependent on the government.
But even then, previously when a similar shutdown happened, it delayed visa applications to a great extent. Mostly the H1B visa, the H1B1 visa and the E3 visa, are likely to be affected.
