The Emergency and Disaster Management Scholarship is awarded by CQ University Australia to first-year undergraduate Australian Citizens, Permanent Residents, Humanitarian Visa Holders, and New Zealand Citizens intending to study emergency and disaster management program in response to the Australian Bushfires of 2019 and 2020.
Eligibility Criteria/Scholarship Guidelines
To be eligible, an applicant:
- Should be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Humanitarian Visa Holder, or New Zealand Citizen accepted in either Diploma in Public Safety (Emergency Management), Bachelor of Emergency Service, or Graduate Certificate in Emergency and Disaster Management course.
- Should be working or volunteering with the organization with disaster management and community resilience focus located in a regional or non-metropolitan area.
How to apply:
An applicant:
- Should submit an online application along with transcripts, academic achievements, Resume, and referees through the university website.
- Should also submit a 500-word essay outlining the applicant’s life experiences, extracurricular activities, career goals, and how the scholarship can help the applicant to achieve his or her goals stated in the essay.
