Sterling Scholar Award

The Sterling Scholar Award is awarded by the University of Utah to high school seniors from Wasatch Front, Northeast Utah, Central Utah, Southeast Utah, and Southwest Utah regions of Utah State for their outstanding scholastic achievement.

Eligibility Criteria/ Scholarship Guidelines:

To be eligible, an applicant:

- Should be a full-time student starting the freshman year.

- Should be recognized by the Deseret News-KSL Television sponsors as a winner of the Wasatch Front Region and should be reported to the University of Utah.

- Should maintain a minimum GPA of 3.6

NOTE: The applicants may avail more than one University of Utah scholarship as far as not more than one is a tuition fee waiver.

Value
The Scholarship is applied as a tuition fee waiver at the University. This scholarship awards $5000 annually.

Validity
This scholarship is renewable for up to 8 semesters or until the student receives a baccalaureate degree.
