Students have two options to choose from in completing this degree: (1) Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education (IECE) Certification Track and (2) Non-Certification Track. Students who wish to be certified to teach in Kentucky s state-funded public school pre-kindergarten classrooms (serving 3- to 5-year-olds with and without disabilities) or in Kentucky s early intervention system, First Steps (serving birth to 3-year-olds with disabilities), should declare a pre-major or major in IECE certification track.
Should have Grade 12 or High School with minimum GPA 50%, Official transcripts from all years of secondary school (or high school) must be sent directly to International Student & Scholar Services by the student s current or previous educational institution(s), Test scores: IELTS of 6.5, TOEFL ibt of 79, SAT, ACT.
lead Preschool or Kindergarten classroom teacher in public schools,early interventionist working with children under age 3 with disabilities in First Steps (Kentucky s early intervention system) or Help Me Grow (Ohio),Teach at Head Start and Early Head Start
