As an art historian, you ll study art and architecture in their historical contexts - not only as aesthetic statements, but also as documents of culture. Art history is an interdisciplinary field that examines the cultural, religious, political, literary, technological, and economic circumstances within which works of art are produced. With New York City just a half-hour away, you ll have the opportunity to see many of the works you study in person and get the chance to conduct research and hold internships at world-class museums, historical societies, galleries, libraries, and auction houses in New York City, Westchester County, and Connecticut.
