The Indigenous Pathways Advance Queensland VET Scholarship is awarded by CQ University Australia to Australian Citizens studying VET programs at the university. The scholarship supports indigenous students to obtain qualifications in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) and forge a pathway to these industries.
Eligibility Criteria/Scholarship Guidelines:
To be eligible, an applicant:
- Must be an Australian Citizen of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent enrolled in a VET Certificate or Diploma in STEAM- related subjects.
- Should not have received any other scholarship of similar or higher value from the university.
- Should not have taken any other qualification, traineeship, or apprenticeship.
- Should reside in Queensland for the duration of the scholarship.
How to apply:
An applicant:
- Should submit an online application along with confirmation of identity, and resume through the university website.
- Should also submit a 500-word essay outlining the applicant’s life experiences, why CQ University, extracurricular activities, career goals, and how the scholarship can help the applicant to achieve his or her goals stated in the essay.
