The Sarina Community Bank Branch Bendigo Bank VET Scholarship is awarded by CQ University Australia to Australian Citizens, Permanent Residents, and Humanitarian Visa Holders enrolled or intending to enroll in select VET program at the university. The scholarship offers financial support to Mackay students to continue their education at university.
Eligibility Criteria/Scholarship Guidelines:
To be eligible, an applicant:
- Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident studying first year of an apprenticeship in select Certificate III courses.
- Should not have received any other scholarship of similar or higher value from the university.
- Should have a permanent home address in Australia specifically within Sarina or Mackay areas.
- Should not have received a conflicting scholarship from another financial institution.
- Should not be associated with any other financial services institution
- Should not have an immediate family member who is associated with other public financial services institutions.
- Should be enrolled at the university for the duration of the scholarship and must not have had any criminal record.
How to apply:
An applicant:
- Should submit an online application along with the written submission, evidence of acceptance of apprenticeship, and cover letter through the university website
- Should also submit a 500-word essay outlining the applicant’s community engagement activities, work ethic, personal integrity, personal and career goals, and academic diligence.
