Horatio Alger Idaho State University Scholarships are awarded by Horatio Alger Association and funded by Association Board Member, Robert Miller, the Chairman and CEO of Albertsons Companies, Inc. This scholarship is offered to freshmen who would be stepping in to their sophomore year in Idaho State University. This scholarship is open to students from the United States who intend to study in any discipline at Idaho State University.

Eligibility Criteria/ Scholarship Guidelines:
To be eligible for the scholarship, an applicant:
- Should be a current freshman who would be stepping into a sophomore year at Idaho State University
- Should currently be a resident of the State of Idaho 
- Should demonstrate financial need with gross family income not more than $55,000
