Horatio Alger William J Dore Scholarship

Horatio Alger William J. Doré Scholarship is awarded by Horatio Alger Association and funded by Association Member, William J. Doré, and the President of The Doré Energy Corporation. This scholarship is offered to high school senior students who intend to study in any discipline at any university in the state of Louisiana, however, the priority is given to students planning to attend McNeese State University.

Eligibility Criteria/ Scholarship Guidelines:

To be eligible for the scholarship, an applicant:

- Should be a resident of Louisiana

- Should demonstrate financial need with gross family income not more than $55,000

- Should maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0

Value
This Scholarship awards up to $10,500 each to 25 scholars.
