State Scholarships are awarded by Horatio Alger Association and funded by Horatio Alger Members for the high school students who have overcome obstacles during their childhood. This scholarship is open to all United States and District of Columbia students who intend to study in any discipline.
Eligibility Criteria/ Scholarship Guidelines:
To be eligible for the scholarship, an applicant:
- Should be a high school student enrolled in full-time program.
- Should intend to pursue a bachelor’s degree at any accredited non-profit public or private institution.
- Should have a minimum GPA of 2.0
- Should demonstrate financial need with gross family income not more than of $55,000 Should be involved in co- curricular and community service activities.
