The Regions:

Legal entitlement to ECEC for 3-year-olds

The Education Act requires the municipality to make sure an area during a preschool for a toddler with a permanent residence within the municipality reaches a minimum of 3 years before the start of the varsity year (by 31 August). for youngsters who reach 5 years aged is pre-primary education compulsory (from the start of the varsity year following the child's 5th birthday until the commencement of the compulsory school attendance). Education within the last year of public or state preschool is provided freed from charge.
