The Early Childhood Education program prepares pre-service teachers to teach or intervene with children from birth to age five. We have experiences with infant/toddlers, pre-kindergarteners, preschoolers with special needs and administrators. The successful candidate will be able to be licensed to teach typically developing preschoolers as well as preschool children with special needs. The program offers a standalone degree as well as an add-on endorsement to an elementary education degree (Pre-K Kindergarten).
Completed application for admission, A high school diploma (official transcript with graduation date required), An Overall Grade Point Average of at least 2.00 on a 4.00 scale and a composite score of at least 19 on the ACT or SAT equivalent; OR an Overall Grade Point Average of at least 3.00 on a 4.00 scale and a composite score of at least 16 on the ACT or SAT equivalent, Test scores: Internet-based TOEFL score of 78 or higher, Paper-based TOEFL score of 547 or higher, IELTS score of 6.0 or higher, MELAB - minimum score of 79%.
