Step-by-Step Guide to Admission Requirements at Gettysburg College

There are four undergraduate degree types offered: B.A. (Bachelor of Arts), B.S. (Bachelor of Science), B.Mus. (Bachelor of Music), and B.M.E. (Bachelor of Music Education). 

Course units required:

For B.A. and B.S.: 32 course units.

For B.Mus. and B.M.E.: 36 course units

GPA Requirements:

Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.00 overall. 

Minimum GPA of 2.00 in the major field. 

Residency Requirement: The last year of academic work must be completed as a full-time student in residence at Gettysburg or in an approved College program. 

Curriculum Requirements (“Gettysburg Curriculum”): Students must satisfy several general educational/skills goals (writing, second language or equivalent, courses about diversity, etc.).
